Caring for others has been a part of my life since I arrived in New Zealand from Malaysia in 1985. I first worked with the elderly and physically impaired, and later progressed to working as a nurse in Melbourne, in both general and rehabilitation hospitals. Upon returning to Christchurch, I began study towards my Bachelor in Midwifery at CPIT, graduating in 2007.

I met Aileen, Leianne and Jan whilst on clinical placement at Burwood Birthing Unit. Following my graduation, we founded Shoreline Midwives and now practice as independent midwives. I believe that as a team we complement each other, as we share similar philosophies and dedication to care of mother and baby.

As the mother of two daughters, I have personally experienced normal birth, and can relate to the women I care for. As a midwife, I aim to support women in their own birth experience, and hope to make it a positive one. Coming from a culturally diverse family, I am sensitive to the unique needs of each individual woman and her family.

My overall goal is to provide support for women as they walk the maternal path, through pregnancy, childbirth, and into motherhood.
